The Gathering is a body of believers focused on the truth of God's word and its relevance to our lives today. Our diverse and vibrant church community seeks to provide spiritual growth and connection through our weekly services. Our goal is to create an atmosphere of living the word of God, worship, prayer, and fellowship centered around Jesus Christ and the glory of God, equipping His people to live and walk in purpose to building His Kingdom.

What To Expect

Worship

At The Gathering, we believe that worship is vital to our relationship with God. It is through worship that we come to a deeper understanding of who He is and how we can serve Him. We strive to create an atmosphere of reverence and awe, where we can truly encounter God.

The Word

We believe that the Word of God is alive and powerful. We believe that it is the foundation of our faith and the revelation of God's will and purpose for our lives. It is the means by which God speaks to us and we learn more about Him and His plan for our lives. We are committed to teaching and preaching the Word of God in its entirety, so that we can grow in our faith and live a life of obedience to God's will. We strive to share the Word of God in a way that is relevant and understandable.

Gifts Of The Spirit

We believe in the Gifts of the Spirit as described in 1 Corinthians 12:4-11. These gifts, given by the Holy Spirit, include wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, discerning of spirits, prophecy, and speaking in tongues. We believe these gifts are given to equip and empower us to do the works of the Lord in our community and beyond. We strive to create a Kingdom culture where these gifts can be cultivated and exercised in order to edify and equip the body of Christ for greater works.

The Glory Of God

We seek to experience the Glory of God in our services. We believe that when His glory is present, we are able to encounter His presence and receive fresh revelation of His Word. Without His glory, we are simply "having church." We want to continually seek Him; that His glory and presence is continuously manifested in our midst.

We believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God. (II Timothy 3:16)

We believe that there is only one God, who revealed Himself to humanity in the person of Jesus Christ.
Deuteronomy 6:4; 1 Timothy 3:16; John 14:9

We believe in the Virgin Birth, the Begotten Sonship, and Deity of Jesus Christ. That He was God and Man. (I Timothy 3:16; Matthew 1:23)

We believe in the salvation of sinners by grace, through repentance and faith. (Ephesians 2:8, 9; Hebrews 9:12, 22; Romans 5:11)

We believe in the necessity of water baptism by immersion in the Name of the Lord Jesus. (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38; 10:47, 48)

We believe that it is the will of God that each believer be filled with the Holy Spirit and speak with new tongues. (Acts 1:8, 19:1-6)

We believe that every believer is given power to live a victorious, overcoming life. (Romans 12:1; II Corinthians 7:1)

We believe in the operation of gifts of the Spirit individually and corporately. (I Corinthians 12-14)

We believe that divine healing through the redemptive work of Christ is available for every believer. (James 5:14; I Peter 2:24)

We believe in the table of the Lord commonly called communion or the Lord's Supper, for believers. (I Corinthians 11:28-32)

We believe in eternal life for believers (John 5:24; 3:16) and eternal punishment for unbelievers. (Mark 9:43-58; II Thessalonians 1:9; Revelation 20:10-15)
